SeaGate Terminals, LLC announces the acquisition of a premier 44 acre deepwater bulk and break-bulk Terminal in Chesapeake, VA!

SeaGate Terminals, LLC, a Dulany Industries Company, owns and operates a deepwater facility located in Savannah, Georgia and provides the southeastern liquid, dry bulk, palletized, and industrial markets with handling, packaging, warehousing, vessel, rail, and truck services. With its roots dating back to 1897, SeaGate Terminals remains deeply committed to serving its customers with the utmost in integrity and care.
The acquisition of the Chesapeake, VA facility (formerly known as the Transmontaigne Terminal and located at 1310 Priority Lane), is an excellent geographic complement to SeaGate’s Savannah, GA. operation. The Chesapeake Terminal consists of a 1000ft berth with 40ft MLW (COE plan for 45ft), a 1000TPH shiploader, a barge unloading system, 90,000 sqft warehouse, truck and rail scales, and all associated assets to handle any variety of terminal services. An additional 90,000 sq ft warehouse will be added by 2017.
“It is our goal to operate the Chesapeake facility, much as we have our Savannah operation, providing our customers with an unsurpassed level of reliability and care for their products” states Kevin Glover, President of SeaGate Terminals, LLC.
Dulany Industries, Inc., SeaGate’s parent company, also has ties to the Sulfuric acid business through its wholly owned subsidiary Southern States Chemical, as well as deepwater based codevelopment sites such as SeaPoint ITC located in Savannah, GA.
